Shipping policy

1. Delivery and unloading requirements

Due to the bulky nature of our products, deliveries generally require a forklift or other suitable mechanical unloading equipment at the delivery address.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that:

  • Suitable unloading equipment is available when the delivery arrives.
  • A competent operator is available to unload the goods.
  • The delivery address is accessible and safe for the carrier’s vehicle.
  • All delivery information provided is complete and accurate.

If suitable unloading equipment is unavailable, please contact us before placing your order. We will attempt to arrange an alternative delivery method, such as tailgate delivery, where available. Alternative services may incur additional charges and cannot be guaranteed for every product or location.

2. Failed or altered deliveries

If delivery cannot be completed because suitable unloading equipment is unavailable, the site is inaccessible or unsafe, nobody is available to receive the goods, or incorrect delivery information was provided, the customer may be responsible for the reasonable additional costs incurred.

These costs may include, but are not limited to:

  • The original delivery charge.
  • Redelivery charges.
  • Return-to-sender charges.
  • Carrier storage or depot fees.
  • Tailgate delivery charges.
  • Manual-handling charges.
  • Additional waiting-time charges.
  • Warehouse handling or reasonable restocking fees.

We may require these charges to be paid before redelivery is arranged.

3. Cancellation following a failed delivery

If the goods cannot be safely or reasonably delivered, we may cancel the order and arrange for the goods to be returned.

Where an order is cancelled because the customer has not met the delivery or unloading requirements, freight charges already incurred are non-refundable. Reasonable return freight, handling, storage and restocking costs may also be deducted from any refund, where permitted by law.

This does not apply where the delivery failure resulted from an error by Pallet Bins Australia, an incorrect or defective product supplied by us, or where the customer is otherwise entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Delivery timeframes

All dispatch and delivery dates are estimates only. Actual delivery times may vary due to carrier delays, weather, road conditions, regional servicing schedules, equipment availability and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers should not schedule labour, production, installation or other dependent work until the goods have arrived and been inspected.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss resulting solely from a delivery delay, including loss of production, profit, contracts or business opportunity.

If your order has not arrived within the estimated timeframe provided, please contact us at team@palletbins.shop so we can investigate the delivery with the carrier.

5. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
